The Challenge
Salmon farm weather tracking relied on manual spreadsheet updates across 12 sites. Operations managers spent hours each morning compiling data from different weather stations, and critical weather changes were often discovered too late to respond effectively. Storm conditions could damage equipment before teams even knew conditions had deteriorated.
Our Solution
We built a real-time meteorological dashboard that aggregates data from all 12 farm sites. The system pulls weather station data every 15 minutes and triggers SMS and email alerts when wind speeds, wave heights, or precipitation exceed operational thresholds. A centralized view gives the operations team instant visibility into conditions at every site.
